Floorplan markup and takeoff tool for sales teams and installers in fire alarm
Fire alarm takeoff. The quote builds itself.
Floorplan markup and quoting software for fire alarm installers working to BS 5839. Drop detectors, sounders and call points on the plan; the customer quote, fitter's marked-up plan and equipment schedule fall out the other end.
Built for the fire alarm workflow
Three things mrkup.pro does specifically for your sector.
Smoke detectors, heat detectors, sounders, manual call points, beacons and AOVs. Pick from the included starter pack or build your own. Each symbol carries cost, sell price, install minutes and maintenance interval.
One-click Excel export gives the fitter every detector, sounder and call point with location code, product SKU and quantity, ready for the wholesaler order and the F&IAS commissioning file.
Customer-facing PDF quote stays unbranded by you; the fitter's plan keeps every symbol, cable run and zone label clean and clear. No re-drawing in Bluebeam.
Fire alarm installers ask us
Does mrkup.pro handle BS 5839 spacing rules?
You drop the markers; mrkup.pro doesn't enforce maximum coverage spacing or sounder dB levels. That stays the installer's responsibility (and rightly so). What mrkup.pro does is count, price and document what you've placed, so the quote and schedule always match the floorplan exactly.
Can I import my own price list?
Yes. Add products one at a time in Settings, or upload a CSV. Each product holds cost price, sell price, install minutes, maintenance minutes and a custom symbol (shape, colour, letter). Bring your usual wholesaler pricing and your symbols stay consistent across every quote.
Do you support AOVs and dampers?
Yes. Any product type you sell, whether AOV vent, AOV head, smoke damper or interface, is just another item in your price list with its own symbol. mrkup.pro is product-list-driven, so anything you fit can be quoted.
What about multi-floor jobs?
Each project supports multiple floors. Upload one floorplan per floor; the dots roll up into one project total and one customer quote. The fitter gets a separate marked-up plan per floor.
How much does it cost compared to Bluebeam plus Excel?
Solo plan is £24.99 a month for up to 10 quotes a month. Bluebeam Revu Basics is around £240 a year and doesn't quote anything; you'd still need a separate spreadsheet. The free tier covers one full project, no card, so you can try it on a real job before you pay anything.
Quote the next fire alarm job in 15 minutes.
Free forever for one project. No card. Bring your own floorplan.
